1.5.4 Information on Voter Registration
The above bar graph shows what respondents who did not receive a voter information card did to find out whether they were registered to vote in the November 17, 2014 by-elections or not. The results are as follows:
- The majority of respondents (64 percent) did nothing specific to find out if they were registered to vote. The rest of the respondents assumed or already knew they were registered to vote (5 percent), consulted the Elections Canada website (4 percent), went online or used social media (3 percent), asked a friend or family (3 percent), called the 1-800 number of Elections Canada (3 percent).
