Am I a Canadian Forces (CF) elector?

You are a CF elector if you meet the following three conditions:

  • You are a Canadian citizen.
  • You are at least 18 years of age on civilian polling day.
  • You are a regular or reserve member of the Canadian Armed Forces.

How do I register to vote?

To vote at a military polling station at a Canadian Armed Forces base or unit during a federal general election, you need to:

  • be a CF elector
  • prove you identity and your Service Number (SN)
  • be registered

You can register on the National Register of Electors by providing your SN during the registration process.

Where and when can I vote?

During a federal election or referendum, CF electors can vote by all of the same methods available to other Canadian electors. During a federal general election they can also vote by special ballot at a military polling station on a Canadian Armed Forces base or unit.
