Electors Can Register at the Polls
Gatineau, Thursday, October 20, 2016
- Electors in Medicine Hat–Cardston–Warner (Alberta) who are not registered can still vote in the October 24 federal by-election. They can register at their polling place on election day.
- To find their polling place, electors can visit elections.ca or call 1-800-463-6868.
- For faster service, unregistered electors can fill out a registration certificate at elections.ca, print it and bring it to their polling place.
- To register and vote, electors must prove their identity and address. The list of accepted pieces of identification is available at elections.ca.
- Some pieces of identification used at provincial and municipal elections may not meet federal election requirements.
